Projects

RN21

Project name: Integrated Project RN21 – Innovation in the Natural Resin Sector to Strengthen the National Bioeconomy;

Description: The Natural Resin 21 (RN21) project is an initiative that brings together 37 entities, led by the ForestWise Collaborative Laboratory, to revitalise the pine resin sector. Its main objective is to innovate in new products and markets, strengthening the national bioeconomy in line with the objectives of the PRR.

Funding: Co-financed by the Environmental Fund through Component 12 – Promotion of Sustainable Bioeconomy – Investment TC-C12-i01 – Sustainable Bioeconomy, Notices No. 01/C12-i01/2021 and No. 02/C12-i01/2021, under the European funds allocated to Portugal by the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan, within the framework of the European Union (EU) Recovery and Resilience Facility (MRR), in the context of Next Generation EU, for the period 2021 to 2026;

PRODUCTIVE INNOVATION

Project name: RESINOV – Product innovation and expansion of turpentine and rosin production capacity

Description: The RESINOV project will modernise the production of natural resins through the acquisition of innovative equipment that increases efficiency, reduces environmental impact and promotes sustainability. This project will enable product diversification, open up new markets and strengthen the company’s competitiveness.
